And also, I made a
slingshot during the superbowl!! I was done by the time the game was over, a very quick knit!!
Specs:
Pattern : Slingsho by knitty
Yarn: STR in lightweight, Chapman Springs
Started: 2/4
Finished 2/4
Modifications: I used size 3 needles, and I actually wish I had used size 4. I couldn't get guage on ones like it called for, but I am really tight knitter, which is actually the main problem I had. It called for a "tight" bind off so that the cup wouldn't slip through, however, even on the three's, I think I bound off TOO tightly as evidenced by this picture:
You can see I couldn't make the finishing look nice and also have it fit around the coffee cup, so I chose to have it look a little crappy and have it fit.

To be honest I don't think it looks bad. I found you off of ravelry and didn't notice (still kind of don't) any issues, it looks nice.
note on the binding off tightly, I'm a tight knitter too and sometimes when I'm having issues I bind off purl wise and it makes it a little looser and nicer looking, I'll let you know how mine turns out when I'm done with mine.
